Yalicoo is a unique educational online stock trading
simulation which enables the user to perform
stock trading using
real time quotes, learn
and gain actual experience in trading, and win cash prizes for creating winning
virtual portfolios. All this without taking any of the risks involved with real
money investments.
Since many investors are playing the games, you can watch the performance of
their portfolios and learn from their strategies and mistakes. Thus, in Yalicoo
you can have fun and win cash prizes while improving your
stock trading skills.
How does Yalicoo work?
After joining one of the
competitions, you’ll receive an initial amount of virtual $100,000 in cash
to your account. Now you can start building the stock portfolio of your dreams.
You are the manager of your portfolio and you can trade stocks - buy or sell, at
any moment (during the trading hours) using real time trading price.
Real time stock trading means that the execution of the buy or sell orders that you
submit will be executed in the real price currently quoted in the real market
(i.e. the real time quotes from the exchanges). In simple words, your tradings
are executed the same way it will be done in real brokerage software with real
money.
During the competition period your portfolio total value will vary according to
your tradings and holding; it will rise if your stocks price goes up, and it can
fall if the value of the stocks drops. Your goal is to gain as much profit as
you can by choosing the right stocks and holding them for the optimal period of
time. In other words, the way you’ll manage your portfolio will determine your
final ranking among all players in the competition.
The winners are the top 3 players with the most profitable portfolio at the end
of the game. Each one of the winners receives cash prizes which may reach
thousand of dollars.
In addition, all players listed on the highest 10% percentile of participants at
the end of the game, win a free additional game.
The competitions
You can choose to join each one of the following games (you may join more then
one at a time):
Daily Competition – conducted every trading day of the week (Monday - Friday) from the time
the exchange opens until closing time, offering cash prizes of $375.
Weekly Competition – conducted every week (Monday to Friday) with cash prizes of $500.
Monthly Competition – conducted every calendar month (1st trading day to last trading day)
with cash prizes of $1600.
Quarterly Competition – This is our most prestigious competition which takes place every
calendar quarter with cash prizes of $12,500.
