Another
quarter
of
Yalicoo
exciting
competitions
has just
begun
By Yinon
Arieli | October 8, 2007
The last
quarter
of 2007
was
launched
last
week.
Let us
focus
first on
the
monthly
and
quarterly
competitions.
The
monthly
competition
is very
interesting
this
time as
we see
many
familiar
faces
among
the
players. genibus
currently
is
leading
the pack
with
return
of 4.4%.
genibus
opened
the
competition
buying
few of
the top
NASDAQ
gainers
of last
week
such as
Baidu.com,
Inc. (BIDU),
the
Chinese
language
Internet
search
services
provider,
and
Immucor
Inc. (BLUD),
the
blood-testing
equipment
maker,
which
soared
last
Thursday
after
announcing
that its
quarterly
profits
rose 39%
compared
to a
year ago
and
surpassed
analysts'
expectations.
The
quarterly
competition
is even
more
thrilling
as wOrStCaSe
lead
with an
impressive
return
of 5.5%.
Among
his most
interesting
and
profitable
stocks
last
week are
CIENA
Corp. (CIEN),
the
supplier
of
communications
networking
equipment
and
software
to
telecommunications
service
providers
worldwide,
and
Lamar
Advertising
Co. (LAMR)
which
provides
outdoor
advertising
space.
CIEN
soared
last
week
after
being
upgraded
by UBS,
and LAMR
climbed
last
Thursday
after a
Morgan
Stanley
analyst
suggested
that the
company
may top
his
revenues
forecast
for next
year.
Both
monthly
and
quarterly
competitions
have
just
begun,
so many
rotations
on the
score
board
are
expected
during
next
weeks.
We will
continue
to watch
these
rotations
and the
moves of
the
leaders
and
analyze
the
reason
for
their
success.
5 days
of
competitions
More
players
are
joining
Yalicoo
community
each
week,
adding
diversity
to the
daily
score
board.
Last
week we
already
had
known
winners
join us
such as
gold, chanon
and
Fred,
together
with new
players
such as
agent,
ahknaten
and
wOrStCaSe
(who
also
leads
the
quarterly
competition).
Iverson,
who won
a
previous
weekly
competition,
did it
again
last
week
with a
return
of
4.94%.
His
largest
gainer
last
week was
the
maker of
wireless
solutions
for
worldwide
mobile
communications
market,
Research
In
Motion
Limited
(RIMM),
which
gained
13% on
last
Friday
after
doubling
its
second
quarter
profit
and
sales,
and
reported
a
better-than-expected
third-quarter
outlook.
The
October-November
rally in
the
stock
market
might
have
already
started,
and
Yalicoo
daily
and
weekly
competitors
of last
week
knew how
to take
advantage
of these
developments.
Every
one of
you can
ride
this
rally,
by
joining
Yalicoo
competitions
and be
the
trader
who
collects
the cash
prizes.
I hope
this
time it
will be
you, so
that I
can
quote
your
story
and give
you the
deserved
glory in
one of
our next
newsletters.
