About Yalicoo What is Yalicoo

Prize Policy

1.      Yalicoo Winning Policy.

1.1. Cash prizes.  Yalicoo is a financial game of skills where the top three (3) performing traders are awarded a cash prize for their winning virtual portfolio. The amount of the cash prize for the top three portfolios will be announced in each competition and can be found under the 'Rules' section.

1.2.   Free games.  One (1) free game will be awarded to each of the top 10% traders of
each competition, excluding the top 3 cash prize winners, rounded up to the nearest integer.

For example:

  • If there are 52 users, the top 10% users will receive a free game; in this case 52*10%=5.2, so the top 6 traders will receive a free game.

  • If there are 57 users, the top 10% users will receive a free game; in this case 57*10%=5.7, so the top 6 traders will receive a free game.

1.3.   Free games are valid for 1 month from the date awarded.

1.4.  Other traders not classified in the top 3 traders or the top 10% traders, will not receive a
cash prize nor a free game.

1.5.   There is no required minimum of players needed to award the prizes.

1.6.  If more than one trader has the exact same returns, then our system will share that place among traders with the exact same return.  For example, if Trader A and Trader B have the exact same returns and are both in first place, the following will occur: First and Second prize will split evenly among Trader A & Trader B.  There will be no second place prize.  Third prize will go to the next best performing portfolio.

2.      Prize Payout Policy

2.1.  Defining best performance.  Our system measures the returns of each virtual portfolio to 4 digits after the decimal point and the ranking of all players is based on this precision.  In any event of discrepancy, the winning portfolios will be determined by our database and not by any other means such as the site display.

For example, since our database measures returns to 4 digits after the decimal point, the following can occur: Trader A displays a return of 2.45% and is in first place and Trader B displays a return of 2.45%, but is in second place.  In this example, Trader A has a return of 2.4566% and Trader B has a return of 2.4522%. Trader A will win the first place prize.

In another example, if both traders have the exact same return, they will both be displayed in the same place (so Trader A with 3.4567% and Trader B with 3.4567% would both occupy first place together) and the cash amount of the first and second prize will be split evenly between them.  There will be no 2nd place prize and the next awarded prize will be for 3rd place.

The official position of all traders will be determined by Yalicoo after the competition closes.

2.2.  There is no required minimum of players needed to award the prizes

2.3.  If one of the three cash winning portfolios is disqualified, prizes will be awarded to the next best performing portfolio.

2.4.  If a prize is shared among several users and the prize amount is lower than $50, then this amount will be credited to the players' Yalicoo account towards game credits.  Unlike all other cash prizes above $50, they will not be paid out.

2.5.  We pay out the cash prizes via PayPal.  We can credit your PayPal account, or we can transfer money to your bank account via PayPal.  We currently do not offer additional payment options for cash prize pay outs.

3.   Stock Exchange and Data Feed errors.  Yalicoo receives incorrect stock quotes from its data supplier from time to time.  Yalicoo is not responsible for the accuracy of such data.  In case that such an event has impacted your trading portfolio, Yalicoo will manually correct this order to be executed at the right amount and price, or cancel it.  All Yalicoo decisions are final and cannot be appealed.

4.  Discrepancies.  Traders should report any account discrepancies within 48 hours from the transaction date.  Yalicoo will, at its sole discretion, investigate
and adjust any legitimate discrepancies.  Discrepancies reported after 48 hours will not be adjusted.  In an event that a competition is over, results are final and Yalicoo will no longer accept any account discrepancies.  In the event of disputes, the decisions of Yalicoo are final.

5.   Portfolio Audits.  Yalicoo may conduct audits at the end of a competition, as well as while it is running, to validate fair conduct, find errors and determine the official competition winners.

6.   Competition over.  The final ranking of the competition is based solely on the total returns of the portfolio when the competition is over.  The competition is over on the exact moment when the stock exchange closes according to the local time where the exchange is located.

7.    Exceptions.  Yalicoo reserves the right to eliminate a winning portfolio and not reward it a prize in any case of fraudulent measures, including any moves made by the trader that are not in accordance with the competition rules.

8.   Prize notification.  Once a competition is over, the Yalicoo team will review the competition, audit winning portfolios and validate the winners.  Official winning notifications will be sent out within a reasonable timeframe, usually within 24 hours.  Cash prize winners will be asked to provide information (such as mailing address or PayPal account details) so they can be awarded the cash prizes.  Yalicoo accepts no responsibility for inaccurate or invalid information submitted to us.

8.1.   Cash Prizes will be sent out within 3 business days.

8.2.   Free games will be credited to your account within 3 business days.

8.3.   In the event that confirmation response or correct details are not received by us within 30 days, Yalicoo may forfeit the cash prize as determined by Yalicoo in its sole discretion.
